How old is OLD?

Published on May 26, 2011

If you ask around, most people will probably say something like, “age is a state of mind,” or “you are only as old as you feel.”

Well, I say that is horse manure! Those are the politically correct answers when in fact if you pushed people to give you a number they would ... and every person’s number would be different based on his or her respective life experiences.

Let’s call this "programming" or "conditioning" around aging.

It's an "attitude."

T. Harv Ecker talks about a formula that looks like this, P-T-F-A-R. Programming leads to thinking, thinking leads to …

Age with Attitude!

Published on May 24, 2011

Are you aging with attitude?

I can assure you that you are… the question is what attitude?

The dictionary defines attitude as: “A settled way of thinking or feeling about someone or something, typically one that is reflected in a person’s behavior.”

Based on this definition, the way you think and/or feel about age and the process of aging shows up in your behavior.

Ever heard the expression, “Act your age!” Of course you have … the question is how does one act their age?

You may also have heard the expression, “One is only as old as one feels.” …

Starving Children in Ethiopia

Published on May 16, 2011

I am in a coaching group where we are exploring our beliefs. In doing so, we are asked to journal about things we believe and whether or not that belief still serves our best interest or if it is outdated and no longer serving our intentions for our life.

Who knew that this was such an ingrained thought and belief in my life? As a …

Embrace the “Funk”

Published on May 15, 2011

I was just thinking the other day about how it feels to be in what I call a “funk.” Sometimes I have a day, or even two to three days, where my energy is low, if feel down in the dumps, or I just don’t feel “right.” Because I am normally such a high energy and productive person, these days can be particularly frustrating for me.

When I am “in it” I start questioning myself...
“What is wrong with me?”
“Am I depressed?”
“Am I coming down with something?”

Then I go through this period where I get a little …

Living to 120

Published on May 13, 2011

I participated on a coaching call yesterday that was about “energy management” facilitated by a fabulous holistic health coach, Leah Lund.

She pointed out something that really caught my attention and that is that our human physical bodies are designed to live to 120 years old. The reason it caught my attention is that 120 is my number!!! When asked a few years ago how long I thought I would live, I said “to 120.” Not sure why that number came out... it just did.

In January of this year I turned 40. This means that I have only completed …
