St Louis’ Rob Shanks: The Face of a SoulFire Real Estate Agent

Written on January 31, 2014 at 11:37 am

by Nikki Buckelew

Back in September of 2013 I wrote a blog post called "Don't Let Illusion Defeat You: Think SoulFire."

It spoke of how each of our lives is loaded with illusion and explained that when I write about SoulFire, when I discuss SoulFire agents, when I coach on how to live a SoulFire life, what I’m talking about is the ability to cut through the illusion and lies - namely the falsehoods that each of us believe about ourselves.

Rob Shanks is a NikkiandChris.com coaching client who has latched onto the SoulFire approach to life and a real …

The SoulFire of Nelson Mandela

Written on December 18, 2013 at 2:45 pm

nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela had it.

He had SoulFire.

It's hard to imagine any global figure who better embodied the quality we know as "SoulFire."

You know that I talk and write about SoulFire agents and encourage you to grow this part of yourself that can zoom a real estate business to greater heights and your personal life to unimagined peace.

But the death of the man they call "Mandiba" in South Africa caused me to pause and revel in the SoulFire that he took to an entirely different level.

Think about this and really put yourself in his shoes.

South Africa …

Don’t Let Illusion Defeat You: Think SoulFire

Written on September 11, 2013 at 5:09 pm

The picture posted below is what inspired me to write on the topic of illusion.

I mean, look at that! It's an illusion of the highest order. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines illusion as “the state or fact of being intellectually deceived or misled.”

When I write about SoulFire, when I discuss SoulFire agents, when I coach on how to live a SoulFire life, what I'm talking about is the ability to cut through the illusion.

Your life is loaded with illusion and, in fact, much of what we perceive daily is just that. Each of us goes through …

Spreading SoulFire

Written on March 4, 2013 at 9:52 am

Just a short and sweet note of appreciation today. It's been so amazing to watch the SoulFire Series spread across the nation. Last month we were in Pensacola, FL and San Antonio, TX and this month in St Louis, MO - sharing SoulFire. People are calling me regularly asking about SoulFire coaching and training events.

What I am beginning to realize is that people need it. We all need it. We need to know that life is full of all the things we want and are searching for - fun, love, adventure, security, abundance, health, and freedom. It's right there …

Change Your Posture to Change Your Outcome

“Don't fake it till you make it. Fake it till you become it.” - Amy Cuddy

I watched a TED Talk today given by Amy Cuddy, a social psychologist, professor and researcher at the Harvard Business School. She said exactly what I have instinctually known for a long time. "Our bodies change our minds."

Non-verbal cues (i.e. Body Language) is something we are all aware of and we use it each and every day to help us communicate with others and make decisions. But how many of us are aware from minute to minute that our own body language …

Are You Creating Your Own Stress?

Sales race at www.nikkiandchris.com

For all the high-achievers out there who aren’t giving themselves enough credit for their accomplishments. For those who are isolating themselves in the name of a goal. And for those who are trying to become a version of themselves that someone else has designed.

A little over a year ago, I realized a trend in some of the top agents I was coaching. These were highly driven, success oriented, obedient, and talented people, being compelled to fully engage in a training course whereby they were challenged to compete and “win” by following a set of pre-determined rules over a period …

“Normal” is a cycle on a washing machine!

Written on June 16, 2011 at 1:20 pm

"That is just a NORMAL part of aging."

I just want to scream when I hear that phrase!

Someone once said to me that normal is a cycle on a washing machine and nothing more! I love that statement because there really is no such thing as “normal” when it comes to human behavior.

Here is what I found when I looked online at Merriam Webster’s dictionary under the adjective “normal” ...

according with, constituting, or not deviating from a norm, rule, or principle; conforming to a type, standard, or regular pattern, occurring naturally; of, relating to, or characterized by …

Living to 120

Written on May 13, 2011 at 10:54 am

I participated on a coaching call yesterday that was about “energy management” facilitated by a fabulous holistic health coach, Leah Lund.

She pointed out something that really caught my attention and that is that our human physical bodies are designed to live to 120 years old. The reason it caught my attention is that 120 is my number!!! When asked a few years ago how long I thought I would live, I said “to 120.” Not sure why that number came out... it just did.

In January of this year I turned 40. This means that I have only completed …
