Let’s talk about our ability to create and how what we create in our minds ultimately determines our results. We have such a vivid imagination and we frequently use use it to make up stories. The stories we create in our minds (and tell ourselves over and over again) affect our mood, our relationships, our health, and ultimately the results we get in our lives.

We create two types of stories.

1) Stories about past events.

2) Stories about future events.

“Normal” is a cycle on a washing machine!

"That is just a NORMAL part of aging."

I just want to scream when I hear that phrase!

Someone once said to me that normal is a cycle on a washing machine and nothing more! I love that statement because there really is no such thing as “normal” when it comes to human behavior.

Age with Attitude!

Are you aging with attitude?

I can assure you that you are… the question is what attitude?

The dictionary defines attitude as: “A settled way of thinking or feeling about someone or something, typically one that is reflected in a person’s behavior.”

Based on this definition, the way you think and/or feel about age and the process of aging shows up in your behavior.

Starving Children in Ethiopia

I am in a coaching group where we are exploring our beliefs. In doing so, we are asked to journal about things we believe and whether or not that belief still serves our best interest or if it is outdated and no longer serving our intentions for our life.

A particular belief that I decided this morning that I have had way too long is this one: "I have to eat everything on my plate because there are starving children in Ethiopia (or wherever)!"
